Have you discovered Lazy L Safari and if so have you discovered
it again this summer?
Lazy L Safari may be hidden away on County Road 618 in Cape
Girardeau, but they are not hiding the fun.
They now have on site 50 different species of animals, yes folks that’s
right 50 different species of animals.
It is not every day that you can get up close and semi personal with a
Yak, a Kangaroo, or every kid’s favorite the GOATS. Beware the Goats might get more personal than
you desire and steal your bag of food! The
fun don’t stop at the goats; this year Lazy L Safari welcomed new Monkeys, new
Elands, and new Scimitar Horned Oryx…okay that is mouth full. In addition, now on site you have the
opportunity to get Cheek to Beak with those adorable little Parakeets, I must
warn that is a bit more of a challenge than it sounds.
New animals, new adventures, but we cannot leave out the old
favorites! No worries folks the llama’s
will still try to eat your hat, the baby white buffalo’s will still melt your
heart, and the Burmese Python will still give you the creeps, or at least it
does me.
While animals at Lazy L Safari are always busy (literally,
animals change as kids do) Lazy L Safari also has a lot happening also. Have you thought about having a Zoo Birthday
Party, a Picnic at the Zoo, they even offer Group Tours, or you can even rent
the zoo for a private party? Over the
next few weeks, the animals at Lazy L Safari are getting busy and hosting
special events for us. On July 21 2012,
join the Lazy L Safari animals on St. Louis Iron Mountain Railway for the Zoo
Train. On August 11, 2012 party it up
the Wild West way during Safari Day Lazy L Safari. Life at the zoo is going to be busy and
fun.
Lazy L Safari is open every day 10 am to 6 pm from April
until October. The zoo is located at
2763 County Road 618 in Cape Girardeau, MO.
